Description:

  • Deliver weekly and monthly financial performance reports to the Australian leadership team.
  • Be the local champion for our Group management reporting system (PBCS).
  • Upload and manage non-financial data for Board and Group reporting.
  • Compile and verify monthly financial reports for our UK finance team.
  • Conduct expense analysis, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for savings.
  • Lead Capex budgeting and forecasting to support strategic investments.
  • Support the annual budgeting process with data collection, spreadsheet prep, and system uploads.
  • Assist in preparing annual accounts and statutory reporting.
  • Contribute to reforecasting and scenario planning as needed.
  • Help build and maintain financial models for new sites and acquisitions.
  • Dive into ad hoc projects involving data analysis, modelling, and strategic insights.
  • Respond to queries from senior management and the UK team with clarity and precision.
  • Collaborate with the broader Finance team on process improvements, Excel support, and payment reviews.

Requirements:

A successful Financial Analyst should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of public sector financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Solid communication skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
