Description:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax, superannuation, and workplace legislation.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
- Respond promptly to payroll-related enquiries from staff and management.
- Assist with preparing payroll reports and reconciliations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure proper integration of payroll data.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
Requirements:
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- Previous experience in payroll processing, preferably within the Education space
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation requirements.
- Proficiency in SYNERGETIC and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
