About the Role

Our industry partner, ICON RESTAURANTS AUSTRALIA PTY LIMITED is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team.


Working under the guidance of senior kitchen staff, you will follow established recipes and procedures to ensure every dish meets our brand’s high standards for flavour, consistency, and presentation. This is an ideal opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is passionate about delivering great food every time.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of menu items including steaks, ribs, burgers, and sides
  2. Maintain consistency and quality across all dishes during all service periods
  3. Operate kitchen equipment in line with safety and cooking standards
  4. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service and smooth kitchen operations
  5. Support senior chefs in improving kitchen workflow and menu delivery
  6. Apply proper stock control procedures and contribute to reducing kitchen wastage
  7. Ensure strict compliance with food safety policies and HACCP standards


Skills and Experience

  1. 1–3 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen is essential
  2. Prior experience in a steakhouse or grill-style restaurant is highly regarded
  3. Strong skills in grilling, meat preparation, and high-volume service
  4. Ability to follow standardised recipes while delivering high-quality, well-presented meals
  5. Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  6. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistency
  7. Positive, proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  8. Clear communication and willingness to contribute to a collaborative kitchen culture
