Description:
This position sits in the Wildlife Permissions Team within the Permission Management and Ecotourism Unit of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships Division (QPWS&P).The team is responsible for delivering the Wildlife Permits and Commercial Macropod Management Programs.
The Team Leader leads a team of Assessment Officers in the assessment and administration of applications for permits, licences, authorities and project related activities with an emphasis on protected plants and animals on state-wide non-QPWS&P managed areas.
For This Role, You'll Need To
- High level knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire high level knowledge of the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and subordinate legislation and contemporary wildlife (plant and animal) conservation and management practices.
