The Role

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the supervision and operational management of all tasks, employees and other resources within our beautiful Canterbury Park, Eaglehawk and Rosalind Park, Bendigo, teams.

With a safety and quality focus, you will ensure all works and maintenance programs are conducted to the highest possible standard and in a timely manner in accordance with industry standards.

You will also ensure the maintenance, availability and efficiency of required plant, have accurate record keeping including chemical spray logs and advance the use of environmentally sustainable actions.

This role generally, works Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4.30pm with a 9 day fortnight and is based at our Adam Street Depot, Golden Square with travel to both Canterbury Park and Rosalind Park.

About You

To be successful in this varied position, you will have relevant qualifications and experience in intensive horticulture or park management with skills, knowledge and experience within the public park maintenance industry.

You will have excellent knowledge of plants; including native, exotic, perennial, annual, weed species, ability to safely use a range of plant and machinery, have a good understanding on maintenance best practice and ability to maintain a safe workplace.

You will have leadership experience, enjoy working in a team environment and have excellent communication and time management skills.

A satisfactory police records check and employee working with children check is required for this position.
