We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as Head Chef-Kitchen Manager in picturesque Far North Queensland. This position is open to anyone with previous experience who is willing to work and live in a remote location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Located in the top end of Queensland, the property offers onsite fuel, cafe, motel accommodation and camping grounds.
Join a hardworking small team who all work together to ensure the smooth running of the property.
Commence: Immediate Start until Late November 2025

This role covers Breakfast, lunch or dinner shifts
Package: (Level 6-Casual)

• $37.35 per hour Monday-Friday
• $40.35 per hour Monday-Friday After 7pm
• $44.82 per hour Saturday
• $52.29 per hour Sunday
• $74.70 per hour Public Holidays
• Accommodation & Meals Provided

Duties:

• General cooking and preparation of short order / bistro meals for onsite campers and passing visitors
• Cooking and meal prep for up to 10 onsite employees
• General menu planning, stock ordering and stock control
• Ensure all correct food handling procedures are followed
• Maintain a clean kitchen
• Offer excellence in food presentation
• Work as part of the team and solo during quiet periods
• Other duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Willing to live and work in a remote destination
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Be a team player
• Excellent communication skills

• Candidates need to be able to handle living and working in in a remote location.
• Telstra 3G / 4G coverage available on site only
