**IMMEDIATE START **
Sanctuary Farm Hand for Farm Animal Rescue in Dayboro QLD. Caring for animals that have been previously abused, abandoned or neglected. No experience required.
We have ONE position available starting July 3rd, 2025 and finishing July 18th, 2025. (This is a fixed term contract. Dates cannot be varied).
Work is not continuous and occurs on and off throughout the day. You will have multiple unpaid breaks each day. First tasks occur at dawn and last at dusk. Work is 4.5 days per week.
Work involves:
Barn opening
Habitat cleaning
Feeding
Basic healthcare
Barn preparation
Animal barning
Fixed term position
Salary is 802.33 per week less tax, based on temporary employment.
On farm accommodation cost is 11.11 per night for a bunk bed in a shared room, which will be debited from your salary. The bungalow is equipped with a full kitchen and bathroom plus Starlink wifi. This is a residential role and successful applicants must reside on the farm.
The farm is vegan, animal products are not permitted on the property. There is no public transportation available to Dayboro, we can collect from the closest railway station on your arrival and departure days.
Farm work is tiring, heavy and dirty. We are seeking an applicant who wants to see the animals at sanctuary thrive. The pay is low and the work is hard, but the impact of the job on providing excellent outcomes for compromised animals is priceless.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate compassion for farm animals and a synergy with our values of kindness, world-class care and a better world for animals. Work is highly proceduralised, monitored and tightly scheduled.
Unfortunately we cannot vary the job offer dates and we cannot be used to qualify for a second year WHV.
