The Role
Are you an experienced joinery estimator looking for an exciting new opportunity? We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Estimator to join our team at LA Custom Joinery in Salisbury Plain, SA 5109. In this full-time role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting our cabinet making and carpentry operations by providing accurate estimates and project costings.
Key Responsibilities

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to provide detailed material and labour estimates for joinery projects

Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and deliver competitive quotes

Maintain a comprehensive database of materials, pricing, and supplier information

Work closely with the production team to ensure estimates align with actual project timelines and costs

Support the tendering process by preparing detailed proposals for new business opportunities

Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and introduce greater efficiencies
What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience as a joinery estimator, ideally within the cabinet making or carpentry industry

Strong understanding of joinery materials, construction methods, and industry standards

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to ensure accurate cost calculations

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders

Familiarity with Jobman preferred

Prociciency in Excel highly regarded
