- Permanent – Full Time
- Salary range $109,081 - $114,979, depending on qualifications and experience

About the Role
In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Coordinator Environmental Health to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with key public health legislation, and lead initiatives that enhance environmental health services. You’ll play a vital role in mentoring a skilled team, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to strategic planning and policy development, all with the goal of delivering meaningful public health outcomes for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the team, supervise, mentor, and guide and support Officers to ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.
- Maintain public health standards, investigate complaints, carry out inspections, and enforce relevant health legislation to protect and promote community wellbeing.
- Provide expert advice, offer clear, practical guidance on environmental health matters to internal teams, Council, and the wider community.
- Drive service improvements, identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis and feedback, and help implement changes that enhance service delivery.
- Engage with the community, work closely with residents and businesses to provide health education, respond to enquiries, and raise awareness of public health issues to achieve positive outcomes.
