About the role
We are currently seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team on a 6-month Fixed Term, Full-Time Basis. This position will include working across Emerald Life Aged Care Home in West Leederville which is a residential aged care home that specialises in Dementia Care as well as providing Occupational Therapy at home for clients at Karingal Green Health & Aged Care Community in High Wycombe.
As Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for undertaking cognitive assessments (eg MOCA, HDS-R and MMSE) and seating prescriptions for our Home Care clients, aimed to improve their independence, social participation and engagement in meaningful occupations.
Your well-honed communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when you work in an inter-disciplinary team, as well as when making meaningful connections with aged care residents and clients.
What you’ll need to succeed
Before you can be considered for this role, we’ll need make sure you possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration
- Membership with OT Australia or WA Assoc. of Occupational Therapy
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Influenza vaccination
- Full working rights in Australia.
