About the Role

This position plays a key role in People and Culture and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.

The Recruitment Officer will:

  • Provide assistance with the pre-employment screening process, which includes booking medical appointments, scheduling interviews and other pre-screening checks relating to the recruitment process
  • Provide comprehensive recruitment advice, service and support which meets the needs of managers and supervisors, and new and existing employees.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment procedures which contribute to the achievement of performance plan objectives.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible records for recruitment and related activities.
  • Invoicing, raising purchase orders and liaising with Suppliers.

About You

Our ideal applicant will have the ability to provide comprehensive end to end recruitment service, advice and education, including recommendation of appropriate recruitment approaches to the organisation whilst delivering timely and accurate administration of all recruitment and people services activities within agreed timeframes

* The Council contribution to employees' superannuation for contributing employees shall be 13.5% of the employees' ordinary time earnings subject to the employee contributing a minimum of 6% of their ordinary time earnings.
