The Role

As an Activation Partner you will be responsible delivering a range of services that empowers individuals to successfully enter the workforce.

You will provide engaging facilitation of a broad range of group workshops, deliver and facilitate mock interviews, provide career development guidance, and nature connections for customer to employers (through Guest Speaker arrangements and work experience/volunteer opportunities). This is a role where you can empower customers by assisting them to enhance their skills and capability to help reach their employment goals and enter the workforce.

You will...

  • Conduct engaging face to face ‘resilience’ workshops across the region
  • Facilitate and deliver a broad range of engaging group workshops focused on building confidence and essential job seeking skills: including resume writing, job applications, interview preparation and understanding the local labour market
  • Identify and ensure access to a range of tailored activity options, including encouragement to use Maxima’s Learning Management System
  • Work with local businesses and organisations to develop opportunities for customers to participate in-work experience, volunteer work and industry awareness sessions
  • Facilitate group activities that focus on career development.
  • Identify opportunities for Customers to be referred to complementary external training and development activities
  • Deliver Employer Confidence workshops to increase confidence and increase diversity
  • Proactively build and nurture relationships with local community organisations
  • Maintain accurate, detailed and up to date case notes and records for customers, ensuring case documentation is compliant with organisational and contractual requirements
  • Work in collaboration with Maxima team members to meet individual and team Key Performance Indicators

What will you need to succeed?

You will be a passionate and dedicated trainer/ facilitator, who has a positive can do attitude and the ability to easily adapt learning techniques, motivate and encourage people to give things a go.

You will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills - with the ability to enthusiastically build rapport with diverse customer groups and stakeholders
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills
  • Familiarity with the local labour market
  • A willingness to undertake ongoing training and professional development
  • An absolute commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity in the workplace
  • Current driver’s licence (required)
  • National police check, relevant State/Territory working with children check and NDIS Worker’s Clearance, or be willing to obtain.
