Overview

The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is seeking a capable and compassionate Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager (ANUM) to provide clinical and operational leadership within its Specialist Nursing – Community and Allied Health team.

This role offers flexibility in location across the EFNLHN region, with a requirement to work in Port Lincoln on a regular basis. If you’re ready to make an impact in regional health care and support community-based care, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As the Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager – Specialist Nursing, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing services in community and allied health settings.

  • Provide leadership and support to nursing teams, including mentoring of less experienced staff.

  • Assist the Nurse Unit Manager with recruitment, rostering, leave management, and daily operational tasks.

  • Participate in service improvement, clinical education, and change management initiatives.

  • Support patient flow, continuity of care, and culturally responsive service delivery.

About You

You are an experienced and adaptive Registered Nurse/Midwife who values collaboration, leadership, and making a difference in rural and remote communities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

  • Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or current Clinical Nurse/Midwife classification.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Competency in computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel, including to Port Lincoln on a regular basis.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in community health, management, or relevant specialty area.

  • Experience in quality improvement and evidence-based care implementation.
