At Hay Street Medical Centre in Subiaco, we’re currently inviting applications for a permanent part-time Medical Receptionist to join our welcoming and supportive team.

We are a busy, community-focused practice that prides itself on providing compassionate, high-quality care. Our team includes 5 General Practitioners, 2 Registered Nurses and a Dietician. We have pathology open next door on all weekdays. Our patients are at the heart of everything we do—and our receptionists are the first friendly faces they see.

We’re open Monday to Saturday and closed on public holidays .

• Monday to Friday : Open from 8:00am , with closing times varying between 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

• Saturday : Open from 8:30am to 1:00pm

As one of our receptionists, you’ll be an essential part of our patients' experience, both over the phone and in person. You’ll help create a calm, caring, and professional environment where people feel welcome and looked after.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and who takes pride in doing their job well. Flexibility is important, as there may be opportunities to pick up extra shifts. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are happy to support your family or study commitments where possible.

• Warmly welcoming patients to the practice

• Answering calls with care and efficiency

• Managing our online appointment system

• Processing payments, Medicare claims, and banking

• Updating and maintaining patient records

• Sending and receiving correspondence

• Light end-of-day cleaning duties

• Preparing doctors’ and nurses’ rooms each morning

• Experience in medical reception (essential)

• Friendly, professional communication skills

• Confidence using computers and practice management systems (Best Practice experience highly regarded)

• Great attention to detail and time management

• A team player with a can-do attitude

• Ability to handle a busy workload calmly and efficiently

• Familiarity with Medicare billing and item numbers

• Respect for confidentiality and patient privacy
