Part-time, three days per week, initial 12 month appointment
MLC Early Learning Centre provides dedicated co-educational care for children aged 18 months to 4 years in a long day care environment. Our Centre is a warm and inviting space, and children have access to all of the College's outstanding facilities and beautiful grounds.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, collaborative, part-time Early Learning Teacher to join our team. This position will oversee National Quality Standard (NQS) 7.2.2 and provide effective leadership and promote a positive organisational culture and professional learning community. Reporting to the Director, this position will serve as the Educational Leader for both the MLC Early Learning and Out of School Hours Centres and lead educational programmes across both areas. This position will mentor and coach Educators and oversee programme implementation in a strategic and focussed manner, without the demands of managing a full teaching load.
Specifically this position will:

Embed the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time Our Place (MTOP) into daily programs.

Drive improved practice, mentor and coach Educators, support reflective practice and pedagogical development.

Lead curriculum planning, assessment, and evaluation aligned with learning outcomes.

Guide individual and team growth through targeted professional learning.

Ensure documentation, planning cycles, and practices meet or exceed ACECQA expectations.

Facilitate time off the floor for Educators to complete documentation and contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

Contribute to quality improvement and strategic planning.

Collaborate with management to build a strong, consistent MLC Early Learning educational philosophy.
To be successful you will demonstrate:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in early learning and be eligible for registration

Substantial experience as an Early Learning Teacher
-
Passion for young children, early learning and education
-
A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), My Time Our Place (MTOP) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

Knowledge and flexibility to work with Educators across all early learning age groups

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coaching and mentoring capabilities

First Aid qualification (HLTAID004) or ability to obtain
