About the role
As the Finance Officer you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end processing of all Accounts Receivable invoices for our wholly owned subsidiary business Deepcore Drilling. Deepcore Drilling is a leader in surface and underground drilling with extensive operations across Australia. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders (external and internal) providing support as required. Duties will include the following:
- Processing of monthly revenue for Deepcore and recognition in the general ledger within month-end timeframes
- Management of invoicing adjustments and liaison with clients on billing queries
- Collaboration with and provision of reports to Deepcore management pertaining to any identified billing issues.
- End to end processing of accounts receivable invoices including but not limited to scheduling, pricing and invoicing.
- Following up any invoices outside agreed payment terms
- Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable General Ledger.
- Provision of weekly cash flow receipts forecast to senior Finance team.

The ideal candidate would possess demonstrated experience in a similar role and have a curious and analytical mind. You can work both autonomously as well as within a Senior Management team that strives to find a better way for its shareholders, clients and staff. You will be actively encouraged to develop strategic solutions to the business, working collaboratively with various key stakeholders across finance, assets and operations.
Further skills required are:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role ideally with 1-3 years of experience.
- Diploma in Finance/Accounting or higher qualification would be desirable but not required.
- Ability to act as a role model in the business by the development and maintenance of harmonious relationships between the business and its clients. Nurture open and constructive internal relationships with peers.
- Always conduct yourself professionally to assist in building the positive reputation of Deepcore Drilling
- Strong communicator who can supply all the relevant information to the Deepcore leadership team, Mitchell Services Finance leadership team, staff and field personnel.
