Description:
Within the context of the role accountabilities described in About the Role, the most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills, and experience against these essential role requirements of the Individual Contributor leadership stream:
Experience and a demonstrated skill set for supervising and leading a team including supporting the Manager in the application of human resource management processes;
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, respond to new and unexpected events and appropriately escalate issues;
Experience in the criminal justice environment including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy and practice directives in an operational environment is preferable or alternatively possess a similar work experience that demonstrates your previous exposure to governed systems and an ability to rapidly acquire necessary knowledge;
Demonstrated ability to maintain governance and oversight systems including using information to support service delivery and performance as well as to maintain effective quality assurance processes;
Strong written and oral communication skills and an attention to detail in this regard including in the preparation of and completion of complex reports, for both internal and external stakeholders; and
Proven skills in staff engagement including coaching, mentoring and staff development as well as experience in conducting difficult conversations, negotiating resolutions and appropriately reporting issues and actions.
