Description:

The New Educator Support Director is responsible for the implementation of the ACT Education Directorate's New Educator Support Program (NESP). NESP is a recognised support under the ACT Public Sector Education Directorate (Teaching Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026 for developing new educators in the first three years of their career, to improve their transition into the teaching profession.

The Director is a newly established role, responsible for providing operational leadership in the design, development, and implementation of mentoring initiatives for new educators. The Director will support schools to establish effective mentoring programs, coordinate targeted professional learning, and strengthen the retention and success of new educators.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Teaching qualifications highly desirable.

Note: This is a temporary position available 1 August 2025 until 31 July 2026 with the possibility of permanency. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
