About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Podiatrist to join our dynamic team as a Lead Practitioner. This is a full-time position offering a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact within a busy and diverse patient caseload. With a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience, you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced podiatric care, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the growth and reputation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of podiatric conditions including PNA, paediatric foot conditions, diabetic foot care, complex musculoskeletal conditions and biomechanical assessments

Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes

Prescribe Schedule 4 (S4) medications as required, within your endorsement for scheduled medicines and in accordance with Victorian legislation and the Podiatry Board of Australia's guidelines

Maintain accurate and thorough patient records

Work closely with patients to ensure informed decision-making and optimal outcomes

Provide post-operative care and rehabilitation support

Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing

Collaborate with other specialists including orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and GPs

Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to all professional standards
About You:

Bachelor or Master of Podiatry degree from an accredited Australian university or equivalent overseas qualifications

Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist

Minimum of 10 years of extensive post-graduate clinical experience in a private practice setting

Proven ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload independently

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach

Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice

Willingness to obtain NDIS worker screening and National Police Check

Strong ethical standards and a compassionate approach to patient care
Desirable:

Experience in private practice, hospital setting or multidisciplinary environments

Current endorsement for scheduled medicines with the Podiatry Board of Australia
