About the role

This position is classified at the OPS1 level; however, appointment at the OPS2 level may be considered based on the applicant’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Employees at this level are subject to close direction and will undertake functions requiring the practical application of basic skills and knowledge. Training is a predominant feature at this level.

• Contribute to effective and efficient laboratory services by sorting and accessioning specimens according to set protocols, providing accurate data entry, assisting with preparatory duties, storage and transport of specimens.
• The Operational Services Officer is required to manage internal and external customer enquiries effectively and professionally.

About You

You are a reliable and energetic professional with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and quality service. With excellent communication and computer skills, you thrive in high-demand environments and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Proven ability to provide accurate, high-quality work with excellent customer service in fast-paced clinical or pathology settings.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented and proactive approach to service delivery.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, manage workload efficiently, and maintain confidentiality and infection control standards.

• Certificate III/IV in Pathology Specimen Collection and/or relevant healthcare experience highly regarded.
