About You:
We are seeking an inquisitive detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team on a full-time, one-year contract basis. This is an entry-level role, initially performed under close supervision and supported by on-the-job training.
Job Summary:
The Compliance Officer assists in audits and other activities that monitor CTP Insurers’ compliance with their legal and contractual obligations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will enjoy investigative document analysis and, as you progress, you will be able to exercise good judgement based on understanding of the relevant legislation and the CTP Regulator’s role and approach to CTP insurer regulation. You also have good attention to detail, can prioritise and complete tasks accurately and efficiently and have a flexible approach to varying work needs.

A tertiary qualification in law, public administration, business administration, finance, commerce, injury management or other discipline that is relevant to CTP insurance is desirable.
About Us:
The Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Regulator is responsible for delivering a fair and competitive CTP Scheme with choice, ease and confidence for the SA community. The CTP Regulator has oversight of monitoring and reporting CTP Insurer activities and is responsible for the premium setting process. These activities ensure that a fair and affordable Scheme is maintained, improving Scheme performance for motorists and injured people.

Special Conditions:
This is a 12-month term position. Some out of hours work may be required. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. The incumbent may be required to be assigned to another position at the same classification level across the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). The incumbent will be required to participate in the CTP Regulator’s Performance Discussion Program.
An individual recommended for appointment/employment to a role with the CTP Regulator will be subject to a criminal history/record check, in accordance with the DTF Pre-Employment Screening (criminal history/record check) Policy. Disclosure of any pending charges is also mandatory. Previous criminal conviction or pending charges will not necessarily preclude employment.

Classification : ASO3
Salary Range : $67,589 to 72,033
