About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic leader to ensure continued, exceptional care for our residents and a positive, supportive environment for our staff. As Facility Manager of the Banksia Lodge facility (Kialla), you’ll be hands-on in care delivery, overseeing medication administration and documentation, as well as managing rosters and staffing, and driving continuous improvement—all while working within an approved budget.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Provide personalised, resident-centred care that respects individual values and promotes active involvement.
  • Lead your team with purpose, building a positive team culture whilst supporting staff development and performance.
  • Continuously improve care quality by adhering to standards, reviewing practices and implementing effective strategies.
  • Ensure compliance, oversee clinical and operational duties driving organisational success across multiple domains.
  • Deliver compassionate care with thorough documentation, proactive problem-solving and strong communication with families and providers.
  • Maintain open, respectful communication and active participation in team activities.
  • Uphold the Aged Care Code of Conduct in all actions and decisions.
  • Prioritise health and safety for residents, staff and self.
  • Manage resources efficiently to support the highest quality care.
  • Collaborate effectively to understand and meet residents’ needs.
  • Balance and fulfil the expectations of residents, staff and the organisation.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Registered Nurse – holding a current registration certificate with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Solid leadership skills with experience managing aged care facilities and/or large teams of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • A strong understanding of the Aged Care legislation, Aged Care Standards and the NDIS Practice Standards and their application with a focus on open disclosure
  • Solid understanding of the current issues facing the aged care industry and the role and function of the Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission
  • Demonstrable evidence of successful data analysis in relation to the National Aged Care Quality Indicators
  • High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and EQ
  • Demonstrable evidence of pro-active problem-solving, resilience and flexibility
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
