Tell me more...Are you a passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) looking for a career that's both rewarding and adventurous? We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (MHAODS), based in Cairns with weekly travel to remote Cape York communities.
About the Role
As a CNC in our team, you will provide advanced clinical care, leadership, and support in the delivery of mental health and substance use services. Your work will make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families across some of Queensland's most remote and culturally rich communities.
This unique role involves:
Weekly travel to Cape York communities by road and air
Building strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
Delivering holistic and culturally responsive care
Working closely with local health teams and community leaders
Supporting prevention, early intervention, and recovery-oriented approaches
