The Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital has two permanent part-time opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join the Perioperative Education Department:
Clinical Nurse (minimum 24 hrs pf)/Clinical Nurse Educator (40 hrs pf) for Scrub/Scout and EndoscopyClinical Nurse (minimum 24 hrs pf)/Clinical Nurse Educator (40 hrs pf) for Anaesthetics and PACU
The Role
The Clinical Nurse/Clinical Nurse Educator will play a pivotal role in direct clinical support, supervision, instruction and mentoring to graduates and staff to ensure the delivery of safe, quality healthcare. You will be required to:
Provide quality, evidenced based training and support to staff and graduates within the Perioperative departmentDevelop, implement and evaluate learning and development programsProvide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process

Key Skills And Experience
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registrationMinimum three (3) years’ relevant specialty experience in an acute hospital settingPrevious experience educating or preceptorship of staff in formal and informal settingsSound knowledge of evidence-based practice in a clinical environmentProven ability to work within a team or independently, as requiredAdvanced computer skillsPost graduate qualifications in Nursing/Clinical Education (or working towards) is desirable Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment – TAE40116 is desirable
