About the Opportunity
The SACAD System is used by the emergency services agencies (Police, Fire and Ambulance). It provides them with the dispatch and related services they need to respond effectively to emergencies and other calls for assistance from members of the community. The Assistant System Administrator will apply their skills and knowledge and work within a team environment that focuses on the successful delivery of support services and project activities required by the Emergency Services agencies. Including provision of Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Windows Client/Server administration services to ensure the efficient and continuous operation of the SACAD system.
About the Business
The Public Safety Solutions Unit of AGD is responsible for projects and services which deliver core information and communications systems and services to other government agencies, primarily those working to provide emergency services to the South Australian Community. These include the SA Computer Aided Dispatch (SACAD) system, the SA Government Radio Network (SAGRN) and the State Rescue Helicopter Service (SRHS).

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

Some out of hours work may be required.
Participation in a 24x7 On-Call roster.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent or above
