About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. We work towards this through the contribution of staff who are employed in a wide variety of fields, from correctional officers and teachers, to social workers, psychologists and supervisors of court orders. Their commitment ensures we deliver quality services to prisoners, offenders and victims of crime. Duties
The Team Leader, Systems and Services is accountable to the Director, Learning Academy for providing leadership and technical expertise in the areas of:
design, development, testing and provision of quality e-learning products.
projects focused on e-learning and leading user experience process improvement and improving efficiency using technological solutions to meet objectives.
establishment of quality assurance systems and maintaining a continuous improvement model in alignment with the RTO Standards (2025).
development and maintenance of the Learning Management System.
The Team Leader, Systems and Services is responsible for leading and managing the Senior Project Officer Training Systems, the Quality & Systems Improvement Lead, the Instructional Designer and Administration Officers.

Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.

The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;

A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;

A flexible approach to working hours is required;

Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
Requirements
Essential:
Qualifications in Adult Education, Training and Assessment; Computer Science, information Technology or a related discipline.
Desirable:
Postgraduate qualifications in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Quality Assurance, Project Management; and/or
Certifications in SCRUM, Agile, or other project management methologies would be highly regarded.
