About the Opportunity
The Project Officer, Child Protection (CP) will work with legal staff to prepare online and other training modules and related resource materials, develop and implement a system of knowledge management and undertake a review and update of the CP digital workflow.
About the Business
The Public Law Section conducts a broad litigious and advising practice, providing legal advice and representation to Ministers, government departments and statutory authorities. Solicitors from the Section regularly appear before a variety of courts, boards, and tribunals. The work of the Section is of considerable public significance, supporting major governmental priorities such as child protection, law and order, industrial safety, and fair trading.
The Child Protection group represents the Department of Child Protection in urgent child welfare matters, including child protection proceedings under the Hague Convention, and conducts cases related to children’s safety in the Family Court.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some out of hours work may be required.
