About The Role
If you are a Registered Nurse who has completed your Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Educaton and are seeking to gain practical experiece this is your opportunity to join our casual speciality nurse bank. You may be rostered to backfill annual leave or sick leave for regular staff. Providing diabetes self-management education to people living with diabetes attending Western Health at any of our campuses. This can include inpatient, outpatient and community care.
Key Responsibilities
Attend to referrals promptly to facilitate timely discharges from inpatient wards Provide education to women with newly diagnosed GDM Support people with diabetes using insulin pumps and CGM
About You
You will be keen to learn and to support the team. You will be a Registered Nurse with a post graduate qualification in diabetes management. You can be available to fill shifts created by planned leave or sick leave. You can work well within a multidisciplinary team.

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
