About the Role

As a Community Rehabilitation Worker (CRW) within the Queenstown Intermediate Care Centre (ICC), you will play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing acute or subacute mental health challenges. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide practical, non-clinical psychosocial support tailored to each consumer’s recovery goals. Your role will focus on fostering independence and promoting consumer-centred care in a supportive residential environment.

In this role, you will assist consumers with day-to-day tasks that support their recovery journey, both within the ICC and the broader community. You will help consumers develop skills, build confidence, and strengthen connections with their formal and informal support networks to enable a smooth transition back into the community. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by contributing directly to consumer recovery and wellbeing within a collaborative mental health team.

About You

You are a compassionate and motivated individual with a strong commitment to supporting people on their mental health recovery journey. Your excellent communication skills, understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation, and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team enable you to deliver meaningful support to consumers in a respectful and collaborative manner.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health (Non-Clinical) or enrolment in a relevant undergraduate health course.

  • Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support consumers in achieving recovery goals.
