About the opportunity
Cabonne Council has an exciting opportunity to for an enthusiastic person to join the Transport design team as the Assets and Systems Officer.
Reporting to the Transport Engineering Coordinator this role will be conducting on site inspections and be responsible for collecting, analysing and entering asset data into Council's asset software for all transport infrastructure assets in accordance with relevant legislative and Council requirements. The position also provides accurate asset data to inform planning and budgets, undertakes land acquisition and disposals relating to Transport asset infrastructure and will administer and maintain Transport's software systems.

This role is full-time, based out of the Cudal office.

To be successful in this role, you will possess
- Tertiary qualification in civil construction, asset management, surveying OR 2+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a local government setting.
- Construction Induction Certification (White Card).
- Class C driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction and/or asset management, including engineering works, road construction, preventative maintenance, and asset inspection & condition assessment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to deal tactfully with people at all levels.

Ability to use computer systems and software used by the Council including MS Office.

Experience in assessing condition of a broad range of public assets.

Experience in using asset and maintenance management systems including Reflect and Intramaps.

Demonstrated ability to present concise, accurate oral and written reports.
Remuneration and benefits
The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023 and Cabonne Council’s policies and conditions of employment.
This position is graded 7-8 in Council's salary system with a gross weekly wage range of $1310.10 - $1549.80 dependant on qualifications and experience.
