This role contributes to the success of the City by supporting the coordination and undertaking of road asset management, road project planning, maintenance and management activities, with a focus on sustainable management of road pavements, footpaths, bridges, retaining walls and other road assets.
Role accountabilities include:
- Monitor and research new road infrastructure technologies to identify modern replacement options for existing road assets. Focus on solutions that meet performance, sustainability, and reliability standards while keeping whole-of-life costs as low as possible
- Gather information to help create specifications and briefs for road asset investigations and data collection.
- Support the Senior Engineer Road Assets by helping meet service standards and performance goals.
- Inspect and assess roads to ensure they meet operational standards and legal requirements.
- Assist with planning and help the Senior Engineer scope, estimate, and prepare documents for road capital renewal projects.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Road Assets Officer to bolster our City Assets Group!
The successful applicant will
- Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, desirably with experience or interest in the field of road design, road construction and/or road maintenance, or significant relevant experience without a tertiary education.
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
