We're excited that we are looking to expand our team and we're on the hunt for Community Support Workers, Casual positions and Part-Time positions are available in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide.
The Role
We're on the lookout for experienced, reliable, dedicated, compassionate and empathetic Community Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in reaching their aspirations and leading fulfilling lives. Shifts can very between Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Sleepover shift and Active Nights.
Requirements
What you'll do:
Provide day-to-day support within the community, helping participants live safely, independently, and with dignityAssist with personal care routines, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility supportSupport with meal preparation and domestic tasks to promote health and daily living skillsOffer transport and social support, helping participants access community activities, appointments, and social connectionsEncourage personal development and goal achievement, tailoring support to individual preferences and aspirationsBuild strong, trusting relationships with participants to better understand their needs and deliver people-centered careEmpower individuals to make choices, develop skills, and pursue what matters most to them
What you'll bring:
A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teamsEmpathy, compassion, and emotional resilience, with the ability to build trusting relationshipsAdaptability and patience, especially when responding to complex needs, behavioral challenges, or evolving care requirementsStrong ability to decision make and take initiative in challenging environments. Ideal experience in mobility assistance, and promoting daily living skills, always delivered with respect and professionalismAn understanding of the importance of inclusion, independence, and empowerment for people with disabilities, and a commitment to supporting their goalsPhysical aptitude and reliability, enabling you to assist with manual handling, transportation, and active engagement in recreational or community activitiesA proactive and collaborative approach, working as part of a team to deliver high-quality support and continuously improve outcomes
What we would like you to have:
Authorised to work in VictoriaValid Victorian Driver LicenseAn understanding of the NDIS, disability, and community services sectorCertificate III Individual Support/Disability or studying towards the qualification will be highly regarded for these positionsMinimum 2-year industry experienceAbility to actively navigate and adapt to changeWorking with Children CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckFirst Aid/CPR Certificate
