This Functions Chef position is perfect for a professional chef with experience in function catering, banquets, and event service. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and lead food preparation and execution for all types of functions, from elegant plated dinners to high-volume canapé events.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver high-quality food across weddings, corporate functions, and events

Work collaboratively with the Front of House team for smooth function service

Maintain high standards in food presentation, portion control, and food safety

Implement allergy awareness and hygiene practices
-
Support efficient stock management and cost control

Adapt to changing menus, client requests, and event styles
We are looking for a chef who is reliable, creative , and thrives in a busy kitchen environment. You’ll be a team player who delivers consistent, top-quality food.
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified Chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)

Experience with function service, canapé preparation, and event execution

Excellent communication and time management skills

Ability to work calmly under pressure and lead others during service

Sound knowledge of modern culinary trends and food presentation

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene , and cost control

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and across a 7-day roster
