Expression of Interested – Field Based ElectricianAbout The Role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Field-Based Electricians to join our dynamic team on an equal time 2:2 roster.
In this role, you will support one of Australia’s largest Oil & Gas Workover and Drilling companies. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Electrical Superintendent and Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with Operations and Field staff to ensure the seamless operation of our rig fleet.
Requirements For The Role
This role is ideally suited to someone from a heavy industry background with experience troubleshooting automated equipment. The candidate will demonstrate the following key aspects:
Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate electrical and control systems including PLCs, and hazardous area certified equipment.Perform preventative and reactive maintenance using CMMS.Install and test 3-phase AC motors and power generation equipment.Maintain communication systems and ensure compliance with Ventia’s Isolation Standards and Permit to Work policies.

About You
Trade Certified and WA Licensed Electrician.EEHA experience highly regarded.Post-trade experience in heavy industrial environments, ideally Oil & Gas or Drilling.Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills under pressure.Ability in PLC systems and maintenance tracking software highly regarded.Valid Open Manual Driver’s Licence.Willingness to travel and work in remote field locations.Commitment to safety and compliance with Ventia’s standards.Point of hire: Perth
