Your new role
- Provide technical environmental approvals advice to internal stakeholders, including identifying and managing environmental risks and opportunities.
- Identify the need for and facilitate the development of secondary environmental approvals in line with business requirements and support the acquisitions of primary environmental approvals.
- Develop and coordinate environmental baseline data surveys for approvals
- Ensure timely submission of approvals applications.
- Assist in managing external consultants for approvals.
- Manage the implementation of environmental projects at a corporate level as required.
- Support the management of Environmental Consultants
- Participate in site planning activities with Technical Services department to communicate environmental requirements and understand operational requirements.
- Coordinate, compile and secondary environmental approvals to support operational requirements in accordance with legislative requirements including the facilitation of compliance audits and reviews
- Prepare and submit relevant environmental documents relating to approvals, closure planning and rehabilitation in line with operational and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate the management of contractors and consultants, including the development of required proposals and scopes of work, in line with industry requirements.
- Provide technical advice to site and corporate personnel, raising awareness of environmental issues relevant to the business, including both operational and legislative requirements.
- Assist in the development of and the ongoing compliance to the environmental budget requirements.
- Undertake high level EIA’s with spatial data to determine environmental constraints and confirm associated approval mechanisms.
- Bachelor of Science – Environment (or related discipline)
- Extensive experience in an environmental approval role.
- GIS experience
- Environmental Consulting experience (highly Desirable)
- C Drivers Licence
- Perth-based position
