- Salary range: $2305.30 to $2485.50 p.f. (OO2)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity
Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) is looking for an enthusiastic team member to join the BEMS Grounds Maintenance Communities team (based at Kirwan Community Health Campus) to provide a skilled approach to landscaping maintenance services throughout THHS Townsville community facilities including Kirwan Community Health Campus, Vincent Health Campus and North Ward Health Campus (and occasionally at TUH Douglas and Eastern Campuses, as required).
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant Horticulture qualification or equivalent would be well regarded for this position.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake tasks safely in a manual handling environment.
- Although this position is located at Kirwan Community Health Campus, the incumbent will be required to travel and work at other health service facilities throughout the Townsville region.
- Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate.
- Licence to Operate Vehicle: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
- Highly desirable: Demonstrated ability in the use of commercial landscaping equipment (e.g. mowers, edgers, trimmers, etc) and possess a sound knowledge of landscaping processes.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
