About the role
As the Team Leader – Change and Optimisation, you’ll lead a team of specialists driving change, optimisation, and service delivery improvements across Member Business Enablement. You’ll play a key role in supporting Australian Retirement Trust’s change agenda by guiding initiatives, allocating expertise, and ensuring successful project outcomes. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer experience, operational excellence, and service delivery performance through strong leadership and collaboration.
Day to day, you'll:
- Lead and manage a team of Specialists to deliver effective change and optimisation initiatives across Service Delivery.
- Support the execution of change strategies and priorities in alignment with ART’s portfolio and optimisation agenda.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration of change, risk mitigation, and promotion of Service Delivery interests.
- Guide the development and use of fit-for-purpose tools and reporting frameworks to track change outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Champion service improvements and operational excellence through proactive change leadership and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements while managing change impacts across services and processes.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior stakeholders, contributing to informed decision-making and effective change governance
This role is a 12-month Max Term opportunity.
About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- Strong leadership experience within the financial services industry, preferably within the superannuation industry.
- Understanding of change and continuous business process improvement frameworks.
- Strong, demonstrated experience in the leadership of service operations teams including coaching people leaders to develop, support and contribute to team’s success.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and management of a large team, including performance management, change management, recruitment and staff motivation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with other Managers and senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Demonstrated inclusive, collaborative and engaging approach; including the ability to consult, facilitate, negotiate and influence with a broad range of people at all levels in a medium sized corporate environment.
