About this opportunity:

Our Head Office store in Rochedale is currently looking for a motivated and hard working leader, to join and lead the store's meat department.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Possess an Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
  • Fresh food retail knowledge is desired
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Ability to order and control costs
  • An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
  • Accurate team rostering
  • Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
  • Unparalleled commitment to customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with both team members and management
  • A flair for merchandising
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Ability to coach, train and performance manage teams
  • Commitment to work health and safety standard
