About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented wait person/all rounder to join our team at Jackman and McRoss Bakery in the vibrant suburb of Battery Point, Tasmania. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the smooth running of our busy bakery and cafe.
What you'll be doing

Greeting and assisting customers with their orders in a friendly and professional manner

Taking orders and processing payments accurately. Table service.

Barista skills would be great.

Restocking and maintaining the presentation of the service counter and dining area

Assisting with the food section. Reading dockets and being able to handle & plate food confidently and quickly.

Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene standards

Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive team environment
What we're looking for

Previous experience working as a wait person within a fast paced hospitality venue.

Table service knowledge.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and attentive service to customers

Fit into a great team. Must be hard working and ready to learn. Fast on your feet.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

A genuine passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekend.

Full time is 5 days a week. 38 hours.

A current Food Handling Certificate or the ability to obtain one
