Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) is a leading supplier of security screening technologies, including X-ray, Millimetre Wave Body Scanning, and IMS (Ion Mobility Spectrometry) Explosive Trace Detection, to various industries in the Asia Pacific Region and worldwide.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Launceston to support installations of our latest screening technologies across Tasmania. Working closely with a Field Service Engineer based in Hobart, this role involves servicing customer sites across the state.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive, experienced team and play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our customers. This highly experienced team will provide continual training and support along their journey.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Performing preventive maintenance, upgrades and repairs at customer sites.

  • Managing customer relationships and providing support both in person and via the phone by responding to customer issues and also seeing them through to resolution.

  • Completing service, expense and weekly time reports.

  • Contribute to the team's focus on improving service delivery performance.

  • Participating in ongoing training to up-skill and enhance product knowledge.

What You'll Bring to Make An Impact

  • Prior experience servicing electronic and mechanical equipment.

  • A good understanding of computers and Windows operating systems (automation programming and/or Linux OS experience desirable).

  • A current driver's license and the ability to travel across Tasmania, including at short notice as part of the on-call roster.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

This position requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and able to hold and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
