Rosewood Care Group is a trusted not-for-profit provider of high-quality aged care services in Western Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef Manager to oversee daily catering operations at one of our residential aged care sites. Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily food production and ensure high standards of taste, nutrition, and presentation, including texture-modified diets.

Collaborate with Hotel Services and Lifestyle teams to design seasonal menus, special events, and resident-focused meals.

Respond to resident feedback and actively participate in food forums.

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team through effective rostering, performance management, and hands-on training to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Manage kitchen budgets, monitor food and labour costs, and minimise waste.

Ensure compliance with Rosewood’s Food Safety Program, Aged Care Quality Standards, and WHS policies.

Maintain accurate dietary documentation and clear communication with food service staff.

Foster positive working relationships across care, lifestyle, and hotel services teams.

About You

Strong knowledge of HACCP, WHS standards, and food safety compliance

Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills

Well-developed problem-solving, critical thinking, and organisational abilities with a proactive, solutions-focused approach

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong administrative capability.

Confident in Microsoft Office and digital systems

Professional, team-oriented, and solutions-focused
Required Skills & Experience
-
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or similar
-
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within aged care, healthcare, or a comparable sector

Proven ability to lead and manage a kitchen team
Additional Requirements

National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
