Queensland Patient Access Coordination Hub uses evidence-based innovative patient flow frameworks and supports service enhancement initiatives aimed at ensuring continuity of access throughout periods of increased demand and fluctuations in capacity, in accordance with the strategic direction of the Department.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of healthcare improvement initiatives related to patient flow in a complex clinical and operational environment.
- Build and maintain positive networks and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the health sector, including front line clinicians, operational staff, HHS and departmental executive.
- Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal skills at all levels, including consultation and presentation skills and proven ability in negotiation and influencing to achieve project goals.
- Gather, interpret and collate data from multiple sources, to support development of reports and enable analysis of system pressures.
- Support the provision of timely and expert advice to the Minister, Director-General and executive management team on issues impacting on healthcare service delivery across the state.
- Support other duties and team functions as directed by the leadership team within the Division as necessary.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Highly effective interpersonal and high-level strategic written communication skills, including proven ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders and cultivate productive working relationships and networks.
- A proven track record of leading projects/initiatives that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare service delivery, including the ability to establish robust governance structures, define tasks, set priorities, and coordinate activities effectively to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of process improvement, implementation, and evaluation methodologies with a track record of sustained outcomes within the healthcare sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of the public health sector, including knowledge of the Queensland Health environment, preferably with an understanding of clinical service delivery.
- Previous experience supporting access and flow within and across hospitals would be highly desirable.
