We’re looking for a Communications Officer with a passion for storytelling, community impact, and strategic communications to join our team.


As a key member of our Communications team, you’ll help shape and deliver internal and external communications across a broad range of platforms. Working closely with our Head of Communications and business leaders, you’ll ensure our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned to our Purpose.


From leading internal engagement campaigns to supporting external community events, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing brand visibility, supporting change initiatives, and telling the stories of those we serve—particularly within aged care and veteran services.


You will:

  • Craft engaging content including newsletters, media releases, speeches, annual reports, and intranet articles
  • Drive internal communications and Team engagement through tailored, timely campaigns
  • Support media and public relations efforts, including stakeholder communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and community partners to tell powerful, human stories
  • Coordinate campaigns and events that raise awareness and build community connections
  • Contribute to crisis communication planning and execution when needed
  • Monitor communication effectiveness through analytics and reporting


Our expectations are, to succeed in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, PR or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience in a communications role— a bonus if you’ve worked in aged care, health, or not-for-profit sectors
  • Proven experience in internal communications and campaign/project management
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, collaborative and solution-oriented mindset
  • Experience of and motivated by working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience working across a range of social media platforms
  • A warm, empathetic and community-focused approach
