Description:
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian tax regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimise financial outcomes.
- Manage tax audits and liaise with external tax authorities as required.
- Provide expert advice on GST, PAYG, and other indirect tax matters.
- Support the finance team with tax reporting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian tax legislation and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of tax considerations into business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax department.
Requirements:
A successful Tax Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0 - 5 years tax accounting experience.
- Professional accreditation such as CA or CPA (or working towards it).
- A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
