Our client, EDMS Pty Ltd, a trusted provider of engineering and design solutions in Queensland, is currently seeking skilled Welders to join their growing team in Townsville.
EDMS supports industries such as manufacturing, transport, and construction. They are looking for welders who can contribute to high-quality workmanship and innovative metal solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out general welding duties using MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (Manual Metal Arc) processes.
- Operate workshop tools including grinders, cutters, polishers, and presses.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
- Perform fabrication and welding tasks safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
- Conduct heat treatment and stress relieving of steel when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop area in good condition.
- Comply with all safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks, JSAs, and training.
- Assist in the training and supervision of apprentices when needed.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification in a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Proven experience working with steel, aluminium, or similar materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required
