Description:
As our Shipping Manager, you will oversee the effective and compliant movement of goods globally, leading a team and managing third-party providers to ensure on-time delivery, cost-efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You’ll develop and execute shipping strategies that reduce risk, enhance visibility, and support Brandbank’s supply chain objectives.THE ROLE:
- Manage all imports and exports across AU, NZ, US & SG.
- Lead freight strategy, supplier performance and contract negotiations.
- Oversee freight cost control, forecasting, and reporting for product margin analysis.
- Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements in all regions.
- Maintain end-to-end shipment visibility and tracking within ERP systems.
- Lead and develop the Shipping team, including a Shipping Specialist and Coordinator.
- Drive process improvements and cost-efficiencies, including container optimisation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across production, distribution, and warehouse teams.
- On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
- 8+ years’ experience in freight, logistics, or global shipping management.
- Proven knowledge of customs/import laws and international shipping regulations.
- Strong commercial acumen and freight negotiation skills.
- Experience with Fashion, FMCG, or high-volume product logistics.
- Excellent time management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
