The Opportunity
When was the last time you made a difference in someone's life?
It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for just that person to join the Silverchain team in the Queanbeyan area.
What’s On Offer
Guaranteed hours and shifts in Queanbeyan area Award rate $30.85 per hour + Super + Paid KM's Employee benefits program + salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free each year Accelerated learning programs to gain your professional qualifications (Cert 3) Paid CPR and First Aid courses.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for people who:
Enjoy having variety in their day. Are passionate about providing an excellent service. Can build positive relationships with clients and their families. Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client. Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
In Addition, You Will Need
An Open class Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle An interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).
The role
Role
In the role of Home Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services, such as:
General housekeeping and making beds Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors Washing, folding and ironing laundry Meal preparation and grocery shopping Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
