St Louis Care is made up of four specialist service areas:
- St Louis Homes – NDIS-approved provider for younger onset dementia
- St Louis Home Care – Government-approved and private home care provider
- St Louis Nursing Home – Boutique residential aged care
- St Louis Allied Health – FIFO allied health services supporting remote South Australian communities
We are looking for a hands-on, solutions-focused Maintenance Person to join our dedicated team in a role that supports the safety, function, and presentation of our sites in Parkside, Victor Harbor, and Aldinga.

Role: Maintenance Person
To be successful in this role:
You’ll be a proactive individual who takes pride in ensuring spaces are safe, functional, and well presented. No day is exactly the same, and that’s part of the appeal, you’ll enjoy the variety of hands-on work and the satisfaction of solving problems on the spot.
A typical day might see you:
- Starting your morning at our Parkside site with a friendly check-in and reviewing new maintenance requests
- Heading to Victor Harbor or Aldinga for scheduled preventative maintenance or repair tasks
- Repairing a faulty bed alarm, refreshing paint in a resident room, cleaning skylights, or fixing a broken latch on a garden gate
- Installing a new TV in a resident lounge or assembling furniture for a new client move-in
- Logging all completed work in the maintenance tracking system and keeping site managers updated as you go
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong general maintenance and handyman skills, with the ability to confidently handle basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
- Great time management, you know how to prioritise and pivot when urgent requests come through
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating with other staff and contractors
- A commitment to safety and WHS regulations, ensuring our environments are safe for residents, staff, and visitors
- A friendly, respectful approach, our residents and team will come to know and rely on you
Essentials:
- National Police Clearance (no older than 2 years)
- Up to date Influenza vaccination
- Must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence and be willing to travel between sites
