We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to take up the role of Director, Educational Support Services .
The role is available on a permanent full-time basis, with a base location at TAFE Queensland’s Ipswich or Toowoomba Campus. Travel across the region and State will be required.
As The Director, Educational Support Services, You Will
- lead and manage a multi-disciplinary portfolio including a number of functions across student administration and experience, student support and wellbeing, vocational placement management, educational planning, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, Student Management System (SMS) administration, that enables the TAFE Queensland South West Region to meet its business objectives; and
- collaborate as a key member of the TAFE Queensland South West Region’s Executive Leadership Team, contributing to the achievement of the broader TAFE Queensland vision and ensuring the organisation is a market leader in the provision of high-quality education and training in Queensland.
Salary
Appointment to this role is via an Individual Employment Agreement (IEA) which attracts a Total Remuneration Package (TRP) amount of $191,975 (gross) per annum including base salary, superannuation and leave loading.

Applicants must possess the following:
- Senior leadership experience in relevant/related setting
- Current QLD Driver’s Licence
- Ability to hold Blue Card and Yellow Card: Disability Worker Screening Check
Candidates Who Possess The Following Will Be Highly Regarded
- Minimum of 5 years of high-level leadership, planning, project management and leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and the ability to set a clear vision and direction in times of change and uncertainty.
- Possession of well-developed negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills as evidenced by the proven ability to influence strategically at a senior level and maintain collaborative working relationships, manage performance and drive a high impact workplace culture.
- Demonstrated capacity to think conceptually, innovate and analyse complex situations and lead the development and delivery of high-quality support services and business functions which challenge traditional approaches and create competitive advantage in the commercial VET marketplace.
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary portfolio of teams to effectively deliver business and administration support services, leading change and innovation in technologies to create better ways of working.
- Ability to strategically lead a portfolio of teams to deliver exceptional educational support services across a large organisation, which is innovative and solutions-focussed.
