We’ve partnered with a fast-growing, progressive dessert manufacturer based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, known for their innovative products and strong team culture. Due to rapid growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Fitter/Technician to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked in a food manufacturing environment and is confident working afternoon shifts (11:00am – 7:00pm). Some flexibility is required to work morning/day shifts during the onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities

Respond quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns

Utilise the plant’s computerised maintenance management system (MEX)

Ensure correct set-up and operation of plant and equipment

Contribute to the ongoing efficiency, safety, and reliability of machinery

Maintain the spare parts register and manage stock levels

Assist with maintenance and project tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a maintenance role within food manufacturing

Trade qualification as a Fitter or Maintenance Technician

Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with MEX or other CMMS platforms (desirable)
